The Social Economic Academy (SEA) offers a popular platform for public critical and coherent social economic discourse.SEA is a space of analyzing social and civil issues in Israel and assists in crystallizing strategies to create social change.
In addition, SEA is a place of civil hope for the civic movements’ leadership.SEA fortifies the important work of social activists and influences others to join civil actions by providing critical tools: prominent academic lecturers, and experienced social and civil activists, teach civil annalistic methods, and explore new possibilities to protect the public sector.
Over the last 3 years since its inception, SEA has directly reached more than 5000 people of all ages, from all ethnicities and from all walks of life through our activities all over Israel. In addition, SEA reaches hundreds of thousands of people annually through it s lectures and articles that are published weekly on popular internet sites. This growth is largely due to the continuous support from our committed donors and individuals who share the vision of SEA that knowledge can create social change.
The pages on this site contain projects that are in need of funds. In order to carry out these projects and continue to expand SEA’s programs the Academy requires an annual operating budget of $257,070. SEA is engaged in rigorous fundraising efforts to secure support and funding from a diverse base of foundations, private donors and institutional agents such as the New Israel Fund, Levi Lassen Foundation and Rosa Luxemburg Foundation. In addition, SEA offers courses to selected social change agencies on a fee for service basis.
